Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hello to Fern! This sweet and spirited girl is full of energy, enthusiasm, and heart. Fern loves to stay busy and thrives with plenty of exercise, playtime and enrichment. She's the happiest when she's running around, exploring, or engaging with her people.
Fern is a smart, shepherd mix who would benefit from continued training and an active home that enjoys staying on the move. She does well with other dogs, is house and crate trained, and has done well with children ages 12 and up. With the right structure and outlets for her energy, Fern will make a loyal and fun-loving companion.
Why Fern might be your perfect match:
- High energy and playful - Enjoys exercise, enrichment, and activity - Good with other dogs - House trained and crate trained - Best suited for kids 12 and up
Fern is ready to find a home that matches her zest for life and is excited to help her continue learning and growing. Could that be you?

Additional adoption info
We require an in-person application for all dogs and cats. A home visit will be required for larger dogs, who require a fenced in yard. Our animals are only adopted out after they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption fees are $90 for cats and $110+ for dogs. Puppies are $130. Cash, check, credit or debit card are all accepted. Sometimes the fee will be higher for a dog, if it is a purebred. We would like to keep our adoptions local; in the event the adoption does not work out, the animal must come back to us. Adopters must sign an agreement to this effect. We do consider out of state adopters, please phone us before coming. We are a private rescue. Please be patient if we take a little time to respond.
Those adopting a cat must bring a carrier to transport the cat home safely.
