Meet Sidney a young and very handsome boy. He is an approx. 3yo, 8lb. long-hair chihuahua mix with shiny brown and black fur. When he first meets you, he is very shy and scared, running away and hiding for safety. But after some time, he now feels safe with his foster mom and fur siblings, where he realizes love, warmth and contentment. He is now even doing zoomies! He gets along so well and loves each of his foster siblings, all small dogs like him, and they play, wrestle and chase each other in the yard. Cuddling is his favorite past time. Although it took some time, he has learned how to trust, and his personality is really coming out. He is house trained as long as he is taken out on a regular basis. He may still make the occasional mistake though. He hasn't learned to walk on leash yet, and that is a work in progress, so for that reason he does need a fenced yard. He is not a big barker and rides well in a car. He is not a big player with toys, but does enjoy chew bones. He loves to sleep cuddled up right next to his foster mom where it’s warm and cozy. He insists on getting lots of kisses before going to bed, then he sleeps quietly all through the night. He would love to find a home with other dogs, cuddling with them and making him feel safe. Sidney will need someone who can give him time and patience, and not pressure him until he is ready. Once he has that time to settle in and feel as if he can trust you, he will be your best friend, and you will find out what a good boy he is.
