My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Prince is as snuggly as he is handsome! In fact, those who have spent some time with him have given him the nickname – “Lovei”! He is great with everyone—adults, kids, cats, and dogs! He is easy going and adapts well to new situations. He immediately “fit right in” on his first day in the Luis House.

If you are looking for a handsome, easy-going, loving kitty, look no more! Prince is the one for you.

Why not complete an application today to make an appointment to meet this handsome, good-natured kitty? If you are looking for a loyal and affectionate feline friend, Prince might just be the perfect addition to your family.

Prince is FIV positive. FIV in cats is like HIV (the human immunodeficiency virus) and causes a feline disease that is like AIDS in humans. Although FIV is like AIDS in humans it is a highly species-specific virus that infects only felines. While there is currently no definitive cure for FIV in felines, with proper care there is no reason a cat infected with FIV cannot live a very normal, healthy life for years -- if managed appropriately.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
