Jude is a 1.5-year-old male black Retriever/Lab mix with shiny good looks and a personality that says “why stop playing?” This guy is always ready for the next game, the next toy, the next adventure. If dogs had a play button… Jude’s would be permanently stuck ON. 🎾⚡
He’s a confident, independent pup who doesn’t need constant affection or cuddles to be happy. Jude shows his love through movement, fun, and good vibes, making him a great match for someone who enjoys an active dog with a little bit of “cool guy” energy.
Jude already has some training under his belt — he knows sit and will go right into his crate when asked, which makes daily routines a breeze. He does fairly well with other dogs, especially female dogs, and enjoys having canine friends to romp around with.
When it comes to meals, Jude does best being fed separately as he’s still learning that food will be consistent after spending time on the streets. With routine and reassurance, he continues to make great progress and feels most comfortable when feeding time is calm and predictable.

Approve Application
This may take a couple days if completed online or during the event if completed in person.

Interview
A rescue member will give you a call to give more info about the dog and make sure it will be a good fit. If so, then will plan a meeting.

Meet the Pet
Then you get to meet the dog and have the dog meet all family members (including the furry ones) to see if you think the dog is a good fit.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
Once all of the above is completed and you are approved. You will sign an adoption contract and pay a $225 adoption fee.

Take the Pet Home

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.
We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), a house check, and our adoption fee is $250.00.
If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.

We are an Oklahoma City based all-breed 501(c) dog rescue, caring for the unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma. We do take owner surrender's under certain situations.
We advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify.
We promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet.
We provide pet ownership education through materials, counceling, and on-site workshops, at no cost to the public, with an emphasis on preventative care.
