My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parker is an incredibly sweet, gentle boy with a calm, kind nature. His one-ear-up-one-ear-down and goof smile are heartbreakingly sweet as he is. Hes great on a leash and loves to run, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Hes confident and easygoing, happy to do his own thing while still enjoying time with his people. You would never know he was on a chain for most of his young life!

Parkers foster family says that he has A+ potty training skills and has been a lovely, well-mannered apartment dweller. Hes very treat motivated and already knows sit, and is making great strides with come and stay. Parkers that friend who always calls shotgun first when its time to pile in the car for an adventure, he enjoys afternoon naps on his cozy dog bed, and is a nosey, observant little shadow ~ he just wants to be your very best pal! Parker would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving best friend!

More about this shelter

Richmond Animal League (RAL) is committed to saving lives by giving hope, help, and loving homes to animals in need. Our vision: All cats and dogs are in a loving home with access to the support they need to thrive.

RAL has been committed to saving the lives of animals and finding loving homes for pets for over 45 years. Since 1979, we’ve worked with area shelters to provide temporary housing, medical treatment, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and loving care to tens of thousands of pets who were then adopted into new homes.
