Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lovely Olive has had a sheltered but loving life so far, she's only had just one owner since she was a kitten. She has previously lived with a senior cat and they got along well, she has no history with dogs so would need a slow and structured introduction. She was a bit unsure how to act when she first arrived, but with patience, love and tasty treats she has been figuring out how to 'cat' properly and is relaxing into her environment. She will make a lovely companion for a low energy home or perhaps the situation she had been used to, just having one person all to herself! We do know that loud or scary noises startle her and cause her to hide. Her new family should understand that she will take time to settle in and feel safe and comfortable. If you need a biscuit making, adorable addition to your life and understand that she might take a little extra time to settle in, please come meet Olive!

Adopting an animal is an exciting and important step for you and your family! Here is a brief outline of what to expect.
1. Come to our shelter and visit with the animals... come as many times as you like... you'll know when you've met "the one!"
2. Meet with an adoption counselor who will work with you to see if the animal you want can fit into your lifestyle, preferences, desires and expectations or if another would be a better match!
3. Complete the adoption paperwork and counseling session (this may take up to 45 minutes, so please be prepared to spend this time with an Adoption Counselor). You may also complete the adoption application online prior to coming to the shelter! Please note the application is an expression of interest and does guarantee animal placement.
4. Take your new best friend home!!
