Behavior Notes;
Per staff 1/5: In reference to playgroup, “no steer test, fearful, ears back, more focused on sniffing, avoidant of both dogs and people, exit searching”
Per staff 1/5: “Kennel Presentation: Laying on her bed when I approached the kennel. She got up to come to the front, her ears were to the side and tail down. Took a treat gently through the bars.
Leash Skills: Easy to leash and walked through kennels with a loose leash. Ears back and tail down but not tucked. Outside she did alot of sniffing her nose barely came off the ground.
Sociability: asocial. She would come over and sniff my hand. When I would pet her her body would tense up and she stood still.
Play: n/a
Dog Interaction: n/a
Return to Kennel: Went right into kennel and unleashed with clip
Color Level: Blue due to shyness and not overly interested in human interaction”
Per volunteer 1/4: “Per volunteer: Shiloh came to the front of kennel when I approached. I presented my leash and she avoided it with her head. I tossed hot dogs on the floor which she readily ate. I held out my leash in a large loop and held a treat in my hand through my loop to leash her. Once leashed she stepped out. She needed some encouragement to walk through the kennels and occasional tossing of hot dog pieces. Once outside she began to sniff the ground. She walked well on leash (no pulling). She approached the fence of a play yard with Ice the dog in the yard. She sniffed his face through the fence with loose body language, low tail, and showed interest. We proceeded to a leashed meet outside the yard. Shiloh had a low tail and sniffed the ground near Ice the dog. Ice was uninterested in engaging and walked away. Shiloh smelled the air near the other volunteer handler seemingly to find more treats. She sniffed Ice's face and then walked away. She did well walking through the photoshoot area with several people present in the room. Took treats nicely. Walked back to her kennel and was easily unleashed.”
Per staff 1/2: “Setting to eval due to fear. Very scared and tense, giving whale eye, tail tucked, a lot of lip licking, allowed all handling needed, started on gabapentin and placed tech check.”
Medical Notes:
Per an exam on 1/2:
-QAR scared, tense, tail tucked
-hair loss around neck from collar
-teeth are stained, tartar along gum line
