My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Angus is in our Petco Mira Mesa adoption center. ***

Angus #19977: black & white tuxedo, medium hair, neutered male, born approx. 4/12/25

Cats: solo cat
Dogs: good
Children: adults/teens+

BACKGROUND: Angus was born into a home overloaded with cats; nobody was being spayed or neutered and there was an ever-increasing population not getting enough food nor any medical care. A Rescue House adopter who lives nearby began helping to get the cats spayed and neutered and asked if we could help Angus find a loving home where he can flourish!

PERSONALITY: It’s inevitable… meet Angus, fall in love! This hugely social cat is the most lovable kitty who will reach out to touch his person and raise his paws for you to pick him up. He likes to be held like a baby and will tuck his head under your chin and purr and purr and purr… cuddles are the best thing ever, and he’ll make adorable air-muffins of appreciation. Angus is an extremely curious cat who incautiously leaps before he looks, has no boundaries, and cannot comprehend the word “no”. He makes friends easily and always wants attention from people, so much so that he comes when called! If he can’t get his person to pay attention to him, Angus eventually becomes content to play with his toys: tossing them in the air, rolling over them, and then settling on his back to play almost like a sea otter. He’ll play until he’s exhausted. He’s a quirky and wonderful boy who is worth the higher maintenance needed to keep up with him.

COMPATIBILITY: Angus needs to be an only cat; as he approaches adulthood, he is no longer happy living with them. He is good with dogs and with large birds such as macaws and parrots. An adult home without children is preferred. He is a Very Busy Boy who is super inquisitive and needily wants constant attention, so we recommend he be adopted into a home where his people are happy to engage with his eager enthusiasm for life and give him plenty of time and attention.

Angus wants to be cuddled, adored, and rollicked with… is that too much to ask?
