My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rose, one of our four “Golden Girl” puppies, was dumped on a rescuer’s property in Texas. Rose and her sisters Dorothy, Blanche, and Sophia made their way to us before Christmas.

Rose is a love bug and we love how her ears show such personality! A bit cautious with new things and loud noises, but when comfortable Rose is playful and adventurous. Rose loves to play with her sister Sophia and the resident Aussie in her foster home. Rose can lead or follow and she enjoys playing ball and will be great at fetch. Rose likes to lean into her people and offer her paw, then just melts into your lap. She loves belly rubs and pets and will be a very affectionate companion. Rose is a bit protective of her food with her sister which could be attributed to being malnourished before she came to rescue. Rose is crate trained, sleeps through the night, is 75% potty trained, knows crate, sit, off and down, and is starting leash training.

Rose is being fostered in St Louis, MO.

At almost 4 months old, Rose weighs about 40 lbs— so she could be about 100 lbs when full grown. She is up to date on vaccines, up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. Rose will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract with adopter promising to spay at a later date and must provide vet records at that time.

More about this rescue

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Missouri is dedicated to rescuing Great Pyrenees who are without a home, need medical attention, or just need a safe haven as they transition to their forever home. We are a volunteer, nonprofit rescue, relying solely on your generous donations. We are currently working to establish our rescue facility in St. Clair, Missouri. Until our facility is constructed, we will be foster based only, with fosters in Missouri and surrounding states. We will continue to have fosters after our facility is built. Our facility will allow us to rescue more Pyrenees in need.
