Meet Astrid! We've got some good news for you! She is totally house-trained. She knows how to walk on a leash. She is very sweet. She is very cuddly. And she gets along really well with Billy (her foster brother). She doesn't love the unknown though - guests in her home, strangers on the street while on walks, they are a little frightening. She will need some training to let her know everything is alright. But in the house with her foster, she is loving and kind. She wants to be glued to her side at all times; she sleeps in the bed with her. Astrid would be best in a house (with or without a fenced yard) and will probably enjoy having another dog her size around for emotional companionship.
Astrid is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, started on monthly flea and heartworm prevention and her adoption fee is $250. Apply to meet and adopt Astrid at mpravl.org
All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
