Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Lucy. I’m the Sweetheart You’ll Wonder How You Lived Without.

I’m 1 year and 8 months old. Spayed. 58 pounds of snuggly, happy, people-loving goodness. I’m a Pitty Terrier with a soft face, a waggy tail, and a heart that’s ready to settle in for good.

I’m up to date on everything. Vaccines, rabies, all the grown-up stuff. I’m housebroken, respectful indoors, and easy to live with. I like people. I love kids. I do great with other dogs. I haven’t met a cat yet, but I’ve got a good temperament and I’m open to learning.

I’ve got that perfect mix. I’m playful enough to make you laugh. Sweet enough to make you melt. I’ll chase a toy, go for a walk, and then curl up next to you like we’ve been doing this forever.

I don’t need a mansion. I don’t need fancy. I just need someone to look at me and say, “She’s home now.”

I’m Lucy. Let’s keep it simple. Let’s make it real. Let’s go home together.

More about this rescue

As a 501(c)(3) dog rescue organization, our mission at Angel Dog Alliance is to save the lives of dogs facing euthanasia in high-kill shelters nationwide by pledging funds that enable rescues to take in, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. On occasion, if we do not have a local rescue in place in the city the dogs are in, we bring them to Illinois to avoid their euthanasia. They are placed in boarding for vetting, once done, they are promoted for fostering or adoption.
