Fez (Fezzik) is about 6 months old, neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. He has been a tough nut to crack, since he was rescued as a young kitten in a feral colony. He has worked really hard over the last 3 months to adjust to life with people! Recently, he has been enjoying cuddles on the couch with his foster mom, and he adores her resident cats. He's very reliant on social cues from other cats and has helped the chubby resident kitty to lose weight, running around and playing with him. He's had dramatic, albeit slow improvements with socialization, so he's still a little hesitant with the foster mom. But she swaddles him like a baby, for nail trims and meds, and he never fights it. He loves churu treats, and while he's licking them down is the best time to get in some pets and head scratches. But he also seems to enjoy pets when he snuggles on the couch next to foster mom to watch TV. Fez loves chasing wand toys, and he's truly the sweetest fluff ball, with the softest fur ever. We believe he's ready for a forever home, but he needs a special person who is willing to invest time into gaining his trust. He also really needs other cats. Patience, consistency and love are the way to win this little boy's heart. His foster mom welcomes any conversation about him and is ready to give insight and advice on making Fez a part of your loving family.

More about this rescue
We began as a TNR group in late 2001, but became a non-profit rescue group on January 14, 2002, with a 501 (c)(3) status. We rescue abandoned, stray, homeless cats throughout Pitt County, as well as many from Animal Control. We also do TNR for many cat colonies in and around Greenville, and provide for their daily feeding. We were instrumental in starting Pitt County's first low-cost spay/neuter clinic--Spay Today. We are an all volunteer organization, and all we do is simply for the love of cats.
