My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella is a beautiful 2-year-old Husky mix (born January 20, 2023) weighing about 40 pounds, and she is truly not your average Husky. On the smaller side and much more laid-back than the breed stereotype, Bella is not a runner, does not jump fences, and prefers the comfort of home over roaming or mischief.

Rescued from the streets of Fresno, Bella has adjusted well to indoor life and is now ready for a forever family where she can feel safe and secure. She is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves her people deeply. Bella is known for her sweet kisses, playful moments with toys, and her love of playing ball. Around the house, she’s generally calm and relaxed—often napping peacefully. If other dogs bark, she may whine or softly howl, but overall she’s a quiet, easygoing companion.

Bella is timid around other dogs and doesn’t seek out rough play. When she feels unsure or overwhelmed, she’ll retreat to the back of her crate, which she sees as her safe space. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations including rabies, house trained, and crate trained. She does best as an indoor dog, either free in the home or resting comfortably in her crate.

She has an average energy level and enjoys a predictable, calm environment. Bella does well with women and children and absolutely adores cats—she loves to kiss them and will even try to initiate gentle play. She can be sensitive to unfamiliar sounds, voices, or markings in the yard and will often choose to come back inside where she feels most comfortable.

Because of her manageable size, low roaming instinct, and calm nature, Bella may be a great fit for an apartment or quieter household that values routine and stability. She’s a loving, funny, and endearing companion who just needs patience, kindness, and a home that lets her blossom at her own pace.
