Here's what the humans have to say about me:
They say some things are meant to be, and 1-2(ish) year old Penelope is living proof. Just hours away from being a statistic due to shelter overcrowding, this resilient soul was rescued at the very last second. Her "expiration date" has passed, and her real life is finally beginning.
Penelope’s past wasn't easy. She was dumped after her puppies were no longer needed, arriving at the shelter underweight and exhausted. But despite being let down by humans, her spirit remains unbroken. She doesn't hold a grudge; she only holds hope.
Penelope is an absolute rockstar with other dogs! She finds comfort in furry friends and would love a home with a sibling to play with. She is "so, so sweet"—the kind of dog who leans her weight against you just to feel your presence. She still has those iconic, big pink ears that glow like little lanterns when she’s happy.
Now that she’s safe, fed, and slowly gaining weight, her personality is blooming. She is highly food-motivated and ready to learn what it’s like to be a pampered family member instead of a stray mama.
Penelope is looking for a soft place to land where she can continue her "glow-up." She needs a family who will celebrate her survival and give her the snacks, naps, and all the chin scratches she’s missed out on.
Penelope was saved for a reason—could that reason be you?

More about this rescue
Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
