My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Addie!

The pint-sized cutie with the perkiest ears in town!

This adorable Jack Russell Terrier mix is 1½ years old, weighs just 16 pounds, and sports the prettiest tan-and-white coat you’ve ever seen.

Her life got off to a rocky start when her previous elderly owner could no longer care for her, but those days are behind her now. In foster care, she’s learning all the best things about being a dog—soft beds, warm homes, gentle cuddles, and quality couch time. She’s blossoming more every day!

She’s a friendly girl who gets along well with other dogs and even cats. She walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained, and house trained—pretty impressive for such a young pup! While she enjoys leisurely walks in nice weather, her true passion is snuggling up with her favorite humans and soaking up all the love.

She’s hoping to find a calmer forever home where she can relax, feel secure, and be your loyal little shadow and best friend.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Her adoption donation is $275.

Think she might be your perfect match?
Apply to meet her at legacyhumanesociety.org, and her foster mom will be in touch!

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

Additional adoption info

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period.
