My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Yes
Crate trained: Working on it
House Trained: Mostly

Sage is a sweet, loving girl who may be a bit bashful at first but warms up quickly with a few treats and some gentle affection! This medium-energy pup has typical puppy bursts of playfulness but also loves to cuddle up on the couch with her humans. Sage would do well in a patient home ready to welcome a puppy and give her the time and space to feel safe and loved.

Sage loves meeting new dogs and thinks they're all her friends! She's fostered with other pups and would likely do well with or without a canine sibling. Her friendly, gentle nature will likely do well with children in the home. Sage entertains herself happily with her squeaky toys and nylabones when she's not playing with her human and canine friends.

Sage is a smart girl who is food motivated and eager to learn. She picked up "sit" very quickly and is ready to learn more! She is working on her crate and house training and will improve with time, structure, and consistency. Sage walks wonderfully on leash and takes direction changes like a pro!

This sweet girl loves with her whole heart and will bring such joy to her family. Could she be the one for you?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
