My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet little Lucy, a tiny bundle of love wrapped in soft fur and soulful eyes. This precious 3-year-old appears to be a charming mix of cattle dog, beagle, and just a touch of Chihuahua magic. Originally a stray from New Mexico, Lucy was never claimed—and it shows she had been hungry and on her own for far too long.

Now safe and cherished, she’s slowly but surely gaining weight and strength. When she’s back to her full, healthy size, she’ll likely be a petite 18–20 pounds—perfect for scooping up into your arms.

Lucy is everything you could ever want in a companion: sweet, affectionate, gentle, and truly lovable. She adores snuggling on the bed, curling up on the couch, and simply being wherever her person is. Her manners are impeccable, and her heart is enormous.

She gets along beautifully with other small dogs and is still learning the ropes with her big-dog siblings. She absolutely loves kids, cuddles, and giving soft little kisses. She is, without a doubt, a 100% sweetheart.

Lucy has so much love to give—and she’s ready to give it all to her forever family.
Adopt her today and let your heart grow a little fuller.
