My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐈🐱🐈Cat-friendly 🐈🐱🐈

Poor Sadie didn’t know she was lost when she was out wandering around by herself. But now, she definitely knows what it’s like to be found.

She is experiencing the good life, appreciating what it’s like to be in a warm house with comfortable dog beds to sleep in all night long – or even all day long if she chooses to. When she doesn’t have to worry about where her next meal is coming from, she can concentrate on the important things in life, like naps.

Sadie is about 5 years old, and she weighs 15 pounds. She wants to come home to a quiet place, where she can find peace, going about her posh doggie lifestyle.

As you might guess, she is shy and can be skittish around people. She eventually gets along with other dogs, after maybe wanting to get a bit in their face at the first meeting. She would be great company to a go-with-the-flow, confident dog sibling. Cats are totally fine with her; she doesn’t care about them either way.

Sadie is the kind of dog who needs some space and patience at first. Then, you and she will get more and more comfortable with each other. These are the kinds of dog bonding relationships that are the most rewarding – to see a dog grow comfortable and change before your eyes.

Sadie should have a fenced yard. She comes when she’s called, is house-trained, and crate-trained. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Her adoption fee is $225. To adopt her, apply at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
