My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Skip. Sweet, Silly, and Still Figuring It Out.

I’m one year old. A Pit mix. Neutered. Weigh about 44 pounds. I’m up to date on all my shots, including rabies. I’m housebroken, full of energy, and absolutely overflowing with personality.

I’m good with people. I love kids. I do great with other dogs. I haven’t met a cat yet, but I’ve got a playful, friendly nature. No guarantees, but no red flags either.

Here’s the thing. I’m a little wild. In the best way. I’ve got bounce. I’ve got zoomies. I’ve got that goofy energy that makes people laugh even when they’re trying to be serious.

I’m nervous on a leash. Not gonna lie. It’s weird to me. We’re working on it. If you go slow and let me build trust, I’ll get there. Just don’t expect a perfect heel on day one.

I love my crate. I love chew bones. I love having a routine and a cozy spot to settle after I burn off some steam. I’ve got good house manners when I’ve had my playtime and I’m given space to chill.

What I need is someone who doesn’t mind a work in progress. Someone who sees past the leash nerves and into the soft, sweet heart that just wants to be part of something good.

If you’ve got patience and a sense of humor, I’ve got all the love and weirdness you can handle.
