My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blanc — A Sweet Young Pup Looking for Her Forever Home

Name: Blanc

Age: 1 year

Sex: Spayed Female

Breed: Mixed

Color: White / Beige

Weight: 5.8 kg

Height: 32 cm (shoulder height)

Rescue Story

Blanc was rescued just in time from the city shelter, where she was scheduled for euthanasia.

She is now safe and learning what it means to be loved in a home environment.

‍‍‍ Socialization with People

Blanc may be a little shy when meeting new people or visiting new places, but she warms up quickly — especially with treats.

• Once comfortable, she follows her person closely and allows gentle handling.

• She lets unfamiliar people pet her after she relaxes.

• She has not been around children under 13 yet, but she allows being gently lifted with arms under her belly.

Socialization with Other Dogs

• Friendly and social with other dogs.

• She approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and invite play.

• She prefers dogs similar in size and enjoys playing most with dogs she already knows.

• Very high-energy dogs can overwhelm her, but she generally gets along well with most dogs.

With Cats

• Her reaction to cats has not yet been observed.

Walks & Leash Training

Blanc is still learning how to walk on leash.

• She will follow with gentle handling and treats.

• She will benefit from continued leash training and patience as she builds confidence.

Energy Level

• Moderate energy — she enjoys outdoor time but settles down calmly afterward.

Other Behaviors

• No resource guarding toward people or dogs.

• May bark when she wants something or when she feels unsure with strangers, but she settles quickly.

• Calm in a crate.

• No separation anxiety.

• Currently both indoor and outdoor potty trained.

Blanc Is Looking For…

A gentle, patient family who can help her grow into a confident little dog.

With consistency, positive reinforcement, and love, Blanc will become a loyal and affectionate companion.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
