Toast is a 3-year-old Labradoodle mix weighing in at a perfect 51 pounds, and he’s just as warm and comforting as his name suggests. This happy, easygoing guy has been an absolute joy in foster care and is the kind of dog who fits beautifully into just about any home.
Toast is house trained and does great going outside. He’s not a fan of crates and prefers to be where his people are, which is where he truly shines. At night, he sleeps quietly on a dog bed in his foster parents’ bedroom and settles in without a fuss. During the day, he’s mostly a laid-back companion who enjoys following his person from room to room, chewing on a bone at their feet, or entertaining himself with his toys.
While Toast has playful bursts and loves a good game of fetch, he doesn’t require intense exercise. Time in the yard, playing with toys, and romping with other dogs suit him just fine. He’s social and friendly with dogs of all sizes, genders, and personalities, and he’s equally comfortable around strangers, men, and women.
One of Toast’s most special qualities is how wonderful he is with children. He is very gentle, patient, and calm with kids of all ages, and he truly seems to adore them. He often seeks them out, laying his head in their laps and soaking up the attention without ever acting nervous or overwhelmed.
Toast walks nicely on leash, enjoys car rides, and already knows how to sit. He’s food motivated and eager to learn more, making continued training a fun and rewarding experience. He can get a little jumpy when he’s extra excited, but he’s already working on keeping his paws on the floor and is improving with consistency.
Friendly, loyal, adaptable, and quietly devoted to his people, Toast is the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. Any family would be incredibly lucky to call this sweet, loving boy their own. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
