Coraline Howdy there! So glad to make your acquaintance. In early November, this nice little lady noticed me, a Southern Belle in distress, in Noblesville. It was getting dark, so I’m glad she found me and brought me to the HSHC. I am an 8-year-old Calico gal who was never spayed. I had a nasty upper respiratory infection and needed some medicine and TLC. The staff gave me medication for my infection and extra care to help me recover. I kept coughing and sneezing, and the HSHC staff decided I needed to go to a foster home to finally get better! On December 16, I met my foster mom (FM), and we hit it off like peanut butter and jelly. She was very observant and appreciated my ladylike behavior and charming personality. To quote her, “She is an expert with her litter box and makes sure everything is covered up appropriately.” Of course! I am not some feral baboon! I am friendly, outgoing, and like to be in the thick of things. I’m no shy wallflower. This household includes one dog and four other cats, and we are all gradually getting to know each other. Those cats are the ones that need a slow introduction. I think they need to pick up the pace! FM has told me with love in her eyes that I am one of the most loving cats she’s ever met. I crave affection and give back even 10 times more than I receive. I’m always jumping into her lap for some love and snuggles. I also like to be out and about with the family and protest when I’m kept in my room. Can you say “social butterfly?” Despite being a Steel Magnolia, I can chow down with the best of them. There is no such thing as “too much food” in my book. My FM wants you to know about this adorable thing I do. I jump in her lap, place my paws on her chest, and snuggle in, giving her a big hug. She thinks I would fit into any home where I can receive lots of attention and love. She says I am ADORABLE! 1-6-26

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.
This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
