My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oreo! A sweet little cookie in need of a gentle heart. Oreo is a beautiful black-and-white kitty with striking green eyes and the cutest little pink nose you've ever seen. She came to the shelter through no fault of her own after her owner sadly passed away, leaving her and her sisters behind. Having only ever known one home her whole life, adjusting to a new environment has been especially challenging for this sensitive girl.

Out of all her siblings, Oreo is the shyest and is still working on fully coming out of her shell. You'll mostly find her tucked safely away in her favorite hiding spot, The cabinet above the sink in the cat room, where she can quietly observe the world from a cozy distance. When Oreo realizes you're a safe person and begins to feel comfortable, she'll bravely venture out to ask for pets and affection, greeting you with a few adorable little meows that melt hearts instantly.

When the cat room is quiet and empty, Oreo has been known to explore and investigate on her own, though she may get nervous when people start to enter the room. We're hopeful that, just like her sisters, she'll continue to build confidence at her own pace, no rushing this sweet soul!

Oreo would do best in a quiet, calm home with patient adopters who understand that trust takes time. With gentle encouragement, consistency and a cozy lap waiting for her when she's ready. Oreo has the potential to blossom into a loving and devoted companion.

If you're someone who finds joy in watching shy cats grow into confident cuddle bugs, Oreo may be the perfect little cookie for your heart!
