My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ebony! If you've been dreaming of a sleek little shadow with sparkling green eyes and a heart full of quiet affection, Ebony might just be your purrfect match! This beautiful black kitty sports a little white spot on her chest, revealing it like a secret star she keeps just for her favorite people.

Ebony came to the shelter through no fault of her own after her owner sadly passed away, leaving her and her sisters behind. Having only known one home her entire life, the shelter was a big adjustment at first and she was understandably very shy. With time, plenty of patience and of course plenty of cozy naps, Ebony has truly begun to blossom in our cat room.

These days you'll often catch her waking up from a nap with a biiiiig stretch before making her way over and politely requesting some pets and affection. She has a love for high places and comfy beds, especially when they are by a window where she can soak up all the sunshine and show off that classic black cat rusty fur in the sun. When she isn't by the window she can be spotted snuggling up with one of her sisters.

Ebony would do best in a quieter home or with adopters who are happy to let her take her time settling in. Once she feels safe and comfortable, she will reward you with sweet companionship, gentle affection and plenty of window watching moments.

If you are looking for a calm, loving companion who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, Ebony may be ready to curl up in your heart (and your favorite sunny spot).
