Leon is a handsome 6-year-old tabby boy with mesmerizing green eyes and a personality to match. Found as a very friendly stray—dumped by his previous family —Leon wasted no time reminding everyone that he absolutely loves people and is meant to be someone’s companion.
He’s a sweet, chatty guy who enjoys talking to his humans and being part of whatever’s going on. Leon thrives on attention and connection and will happily keep you company throughout the day.
Leon is okay with other cats, but he does have a bit of a bossy side, so he’d do best with a feline friend who’s easygoing and happy to let Leon take the lead. He’s confident, affectionate, and knows exactly what he wants—mostly love, conversation, and admiration.
If you’re looking for a social, people-loving cat with striking eyes and a big personality, Leon is ready to make himself right at home.
Leon is currently at our PetSmart location on Woodward. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
