Meet Django – A Gentle Soul Looking for a Cozy Place to Heal
Django is a big boy with the softest heart. He recently completed treatment for heartworm and is on the road to recovery, which means he’ll need to keep things calm and quiet with no strenuous exercise for a little while. Django’s perfect day includes short potty breaks, comfy naps, and lots of gentle affection.
This sweet, cuddly boy loves being close to his people and finds comfort in calm companionship. The world can feel a little overwhelming for Django at times, and he can be nervous in new situations, but with patience and reassurance, he settles in and shows just how loving he truly is.
Django would do best in a peaceful home where he can continue to heal, decompress, and feel safe. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion and have room in your heart for a dog who needs a little extra kindness, Django would love to meet you.

*Please note that walk-in appointments are welcomed and encouraged, and will be prioritized over online applications.
Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your environment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
