Hello, I’m Mama Bear. I came to Good Home when a nice person took me and my family of six kittens in! Now that all my babies are safe in foster homes, I’m enjoying being an “empty nester” with time to follow my own fun feline pursuits!
I love a good lap snuggle. Sometimes I’ll just plop down on my foster person’s lap and take a bath or a nap. I was good, attentive mother but now I’m finally able to do all the things I didn’t get to do as a young mother – playtime, mealtime (without kittens crawling all over me; I’m very food motivated), and alone time. I am a very social girl but also have my boundaries. When I’ve had enough attention or I’m done being handled, I’ll gently let you know. I’m very communicative with meows and cute chirps!
I’m a smart lady who has even learned some commands (though *I* choose when I follow them) and while I can be a little shy at first and need time to get used to new places, I’m generally a very confident, mellow girl with a goofy, playful side. I love to roll around with my belly up or lounge with my legs splayed all over the place!
My foster person thinks I’d be happiest in a home with low to moderate activity where I’m a single cat – the “Queen of the House.” After raising six kittens I’d really like to be the center of attention. I might be okay with a feline friend, but they’d need to be chill and easygoing. I don’t like loud noises or too much activity, so young kids or a dog might not be best for me. I’m a chatty, confident girl who would make any home brighter (and a little sillier) – could that home be yours?
