My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tia — your easygoing adventure buddy!

Tia is a beautiful mixed-breed gal who looks like she may have some cattle dog in her, complete with an adorable short, stubby tail that adds to her charm. Weighing about 56 lbs, she’s a laid-back, go-with-the-flow kind of dog who’s happy to match your pace—whether that’s a casual walk or a fitness journey you want a partner for.

She loves food and takes treats very gently, locking in her full attention the moment you have one in hand. Tia’s calm, easygoing nature makes her a wonderful companion, especially for someone looking for a relaxed, steady presence rather than a high-energy pup.

What Tia wants most is a stable, loving home where she can feel secure and cherished. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key girl to share your days with, Tia could be the perfect fit.

Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.

If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home.

HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/

When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started.

More about this rescue

United Animal Friends (UAF) is a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit group founded in 2003. Our mission is to provide rescue programs and services to animals and those who care for them. In addition to rescuing, spaying and neutering, fostering, and finding homes for dogs and cats, UAF provides many services for residents of Yavapai County and their pets. Our Spay/Neuter Certificate Program, Community Pet Food Bank and Emergency Medical Program help hundreds of people and pets each year.
