Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gus, a 2-year-old German Shepherd with a stoic demeanor and a thoughtful, observant nature. Gus isn’t one to wear his emotions on his sleeve—he takes in the world quietly and at his own pace, which gives him a serious, almost wise-beyond-his-years presence. Gus would do best as an only pet, as he is still learning how to properly introduce himself to other dogs and benefits from having his people all to himself. While we’re still discovering what truly lights up his world, one thing is clear: Gus is highly motivated by snacks and never turns down a good treat. His food motivation paired with his intelligence makes him a great candidate for continued training.
This smart (and slightly stubborn) guy quickly picked up on kennel routines and is very eager to get out and explore beyond his kennel walls. Gus is seeking a home with kids over 13 years of age who can respect his space and work with him consistently as he continues learning and building confidence. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent companion who thrives on structure, patience, and a steady routine, Gus may be the perfect match for you.
