Meet Gilbert Gilbert is a 3-year-old male domestic shorthair tabby weighing approximately 13 pounds who was recently surrendered to the shelter in the hopes of finding a loving and stable forever home. Gilbert is housebroken, crate trained, and is accustomed to roaming freely in the home. He is neutered and microchipped. Gilbert would do best in a quiet, adult-only home where he can be the only pet. He is a cat who will thrive with adopters who understand feline behavior, respect his boundaries, and allow him to settle in at his own pace. Gilbert's adoption fee is $50, which includes his required return appointment at Rockwall Adoption Center on Wednesday, January 14th for his rabies vaccination and FIV/FELV testing. This appointment is non-negotiable, and adopters must plan accordingly. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
