Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🖤🐾 MEET MAEVIS! 🐾🖤
This sweet girl is bursting with personality and ready to discover the joys of home life. Friendly, affectionate, and endlessly curious, Maevis has a sparkle in her eyes and a heart that’s eager to love.
Maevis adores her people and thrives on connection 💕. She’s a champion snuggler who enjoys being held, loves gentle pets, and happily curls up with her humans. Smart and observant, she’s always watching, learning, and plotting her next adorable move—especially if treats or wet food are involved 😻.
Playtime is Maevis’s superpower! 🎉 From springs and pipe cleaners to cardboard boxes of all shapes and sizes, she turns every toy into an adventure. After growing up with limited space, she’s especially excited to stretch, pounce, and explore—making every day a celebration of freedom and fun. Maevis was at a local shelter for almost 200 days in a small cage, growing up most of her kitten life with no way to jump, play or be a kitten. She was overlooked by potential adopters every day there. It’s time for her to find her furrever family! 🏡✨
** Maevis MUST go to a home with another cat. She needs an indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. She needs a family who will give her lots of love, attention, and playtime. **
Maevis does well with other cats after proper introductions. We aren’t sure how she is with dogs. She does well with older, respectful children and she is litter box trained.
If you’re ready to give this sweet girl the family she’s been waiting for, apply today—she can’t wait to choose you! 🐾💖

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens in need. We are based out of Davis County, Utah and we help many of our local and surrounding shelters.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric, neonatal, sick, injured and cats who are often overlooked or struggling at shelters. The cats/kittens then go into foster homes, and as needed, we get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption/foster program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We also care for many special needs cats, hospice cats, special needs/senior feral cats who can’t be released outdoors and other cats with needs that essentially make them “unadoptable”. Those kitties stay in our program as permanent fosters, so they will always get the care that they need.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for dozens of community-cats daily. We also assist low-income families with medical care and food for their animals as we are able to.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the community to care for the animals in our organization. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well when we are able, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives. We will continue to save more and more lives every year!
