My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

More About Apple

-An older soul who loves spending time with people
-Low rider with lots of character
-Known for her distinctive gravelly bark
-Prefers calm moments and steady companionship
-Gentle, affectionate, and easy to be around

Apple came to us from Dallas Animal Services and carries herself like an old soul in the best way. She loves spending time with people, choosing connection and companionship over chaos. There is something grounding about her presence, the kind of dog who makes you want to sit down, slow down, and stay awhile.

Apple has a gravelly little bark that adds to her charm and always seems to catch people off guard in the best way. She is also a proud low rider, moving through the world close to the ground with confidence and personality. She does not need much to be happy. A cozy spot, familiar faces, and time spent together are more than enough for her.

Apple is gentle, affectionate, and content simply being near her people, offering comfort and quiet companionship wherever she goes.

More about this rescue

Animal Farm Foundation gets to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Located in Dutchess County NY, AFF has been working nationally to secure equal treatment and opportunity for “pit bull” dogs since 1985.

OUR ORGANIZATION
Animal Farm Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, has been rescuing and re-homing animals, as well as making grants to other humane organizations, since the mid-1980's.

We currently dedicate our resources to securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs. Whether the dog is called a "pit bull" because of a documented pedigree, or merely on the basis of physical appearance, recognizing that these dogs are individuals for whom we are responsible is an integral step toward a compassionate future for all dogs.
