My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Puff 's Story

Puff is a beautiful 6-year-old grey and white Domestic Shorthair with a sweet, gentle nature. She came to the shelter on 11/18/25 after her owner sadly passed away, a loss that turned her world upside down through no fault of her own.

Despite the changes she’s been through, Puff remains very friendly and loving. She enjoys attention and is patiently—if a little anxiously—waiting for her second chance at a forever home. Puff would thrive in a calm, caring environment where she can feel safe and cherished again.

She is ready for adoption now and hoping to meet the special person or family who will give her the love she deserves. Could Puff be the perfect companion you’ve been waiting for? 🐾

More about this shelter

The Gloucester County Animal Shelter functions as an impoundment/adoption facility which temporarily houses lost, stray, unwanted or abandoned pets for the 24 municipalities in Gloucester County, until such time as they are reclaimed by their owner or adopted by a new family. The Shelter also provides a 24-hour emergency service for calls regarding animals that are sick, injured or posing an immediate threat to the public.

We have a very dedicated staff and volunteer core who work very hard to see that these homeless pets are given a second chance and placed in a proper homes. All animals are spayed/neutered at the time of their adoption and up to date on their age appropriate vaccinations, Heartworm tested (for dogs) or feline combination tested (for cats) and microchipped.
