My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet little Mel. She has the sweetest face, beautiful markings, and the gentlest little soul. Mel is a playful 10 month old kitten who loves treats, wand toys, and bird watching. She loves being around her people. At first, she can be a little shy but that doesn't last long. Once you start petting her, she turns into a tiny purring machine

Mel would thrive in a home with another sweet and friendly cat and a family who enjoys playtime because that’s truly the way to her heart. She will make a wonderful companion for a patient and loving home.

Mel is around 6lbs, spayed, FIV/FELV tested, and vaccinated.

More about this rescue

PAD PAWS rescue is a non-profit organization specializing in abandoned and injured animals who have taken refuge along the Hudson River (between Battery Park/NYC and Jersey City, NJ). The majority of our rescues include Trap/Neuter/Release along with rehoming if the animals are in dangerous situations (due to construction sites, urban development and busy city streets). PAD PAWS handles all medical costs, adoption, education, rehabilitation, as well as assisting with other local organizations and the community in rescuing/saving animals and wildlife.
