My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Single, loyal, and emotionally available. Foster dog looking for my forever.”

Meet Luna, a beautiful, calm, and loyal girl who truly believes her job is to be by your side. She’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room just to be close—and she’ll gladly follow you to the ends of the earth if you let her. 💛

She is very well-behaved both inside and out, with wonderful house manners. While she enjoys a stroll, she’s definitely an indoor girl at heart and loves relaxing near her people. She walks beautifully on a leash and, if you enjoy jogging or running, she makes an excellent running partner—steady, focused, and happy to keep pace.

At the end of the day, her favorite place is her own cozy bed, where she settles in calmly and contentedly. She’s not demanding, not destructive, and not chaotic—just a gentle, loyal companion who wants a stable home and a human to love.

She would be perfect for:

• Someone looking for a very calm, loyal companion

• A person or couple who enjoys walks or runs

• A home that values indoor companionship

• Anyone wanting a dog who is already well-mannered and easy to live with

This sweet girl is ready for her forever home—one where she won’t be overlooked again. If you’ve been waiting for a dog who will choose you every single day, she’s waiting for you.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.

questions.

If you are interested in fostering an animal, please visit our website and fill out our online Foster Application. The more foster homes we have the more animals we can pull off the euthanasia list and the more lives we can save together!
