Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Loving, Lounger, Cuddly
Meet Swizzle!
If you are looking for the sweetest companion to simply relax with, look no further - the only thing Swizzle loves more than a nap is her people! She is an absolute lovebug, always asking for head pets, cuddles and chirping happily...she loves to chat and snuggle with her people!
Being a lady of a certain age, Swizzle's back legs are a bit creaky and weak which is evident by the way she gingerly and slowly walks. But, despite the effort it takes to get around, she is such a positive cat and is never anything less than happy and content.
Swizzle is such an inspiration, always in a good mood and spreading kindness where ever she goes. She would love a home with a patient person where she can get around easily and snuggle with someone as often as possible. If you can be her soft place to land, email us today to meet her!
Swizzle has Chronic Kidney Disease, which means her kidneys are not functioning as well as they once were. This condition is so common in older cats that APA! offers a special adoption package for them. Read more about CKD and adoption details here: https://bit.ly/2YudG90
Swizzle has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Swizzle can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
For further information or to meet Swizzle, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.
