My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We would like to introduce you to Ms. Maisel. (NOTE: She is mostly white but has beautiful brown tabby markings as well, particularly on her tail.) This STUNNING 10 year old girl came into our care in VERY rough shape just about a month ago, surrendered to us by her caretaker. She was filthy, matted, grossly overweight, and had infections on her 'rear' from matted fur and not being able to clean herself. And she had a mass on the side of her head.

Ms. Maisel had lived her whole life as an outdoor property cat. It is clear to us that she aspires to a different life. Special thanks to Boodie who has spent hours brushing and combing Ms. Maisel's coat to get it to the lovely condition it is in now. We have also been feeding Maisel a proper diet and have been pleased to see her slowly start to regain her figure.

Ms Maisel is a beautiful cat and she knows it. She enjoys sitting on a lap and being stroked. She is a very sweet natured lady with excellent manners. She has been examined by our veterinarian, treated for fleas and parasites, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies), and screened for FIV / FeLV (negative results). If you would like to learn more about Ms. Maisel, or set up an appointment to meet her, please reach out: 236-508-2287 / info@catsofsaltspring.com

This beautiful angel deserves the pampered life to which she has become accustomed in her foster home!

Go meet their pets

All of our cats and kittens are housed in foster homes on Salt Spring Island and Vancouver Island. Once we have approved an application and completed a telephone interview with an applicant, we set a meeting in the appropriate foster home.

We also hold adoption events to feature our adoptable cats and kittens both in Victoria (at Capital Cat Clinic) and on Salt Spring Island (at Whiskers Pet Store and Foxglove Farm and Garden Centre).
