My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated 11Jan26

KAI
Estimated 3–4 years old

Personality
Kai is the definition of a sweet, laid-back old soul trapped in a very handsome body. He loves cuddling, soaking up attention, and would happily spend his entire day in your lap if you let him. He’s calm, gentle, and affectionate — the kind of dog who makes you slow down just by existing.

If there’s sunshine involved? Even better. Kai loves sunbathing and being outside, whether that’s lounging in the yard or enjoying a peaceful day outdoors.

Behavior & Social Skills
Kai does wonderfully with kids and babies and has been living with two female dogs, where he fits in beautifully. He is the most submissive of the group and has an easygoing, respectful play style. He hasn’t been around male dogs yet, but based on his temperament, we don’t anticipate that being an issue.

He’s not here for drama. Kai is here for vibes.

Special Features
One of Kai’s ears stays up all the time — permanently on alert, permanently adorable. It’s widely considered his best feature and we fully support that opinion.

Health
Kai is neutered and fully vetted. He is up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.

Ideal Home
Kai would thrive in a home that values affection, companionship, and relaxed living. He doesn’t need chaos or constant activity — just people who want a loyal shadow and a professional snuggler.

Summary
Kai is gentle, loving, and quietly wonderful. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention — but once you give it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him.
