My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is a sweet, gentle senior pit bull who is ready to spend her golden years being truly cherished. Maggie is the kind of dog who thrives on companionship. She loves leisurely walks and being close to her people, soaking up every moment of attention.

Maggie came to the shelter through no fault of her own; her previous owner could no longer give her the time she deserves, and she was being left alone for 10 hours + daily . Despite this, Maggie remains affectionate, personable, and wonderfully soft-natured. She has enjoyed dog friends of a similar size to her in the past, though she hasn’t lived with other dogs, and she has successfully lived with older children. Maggie would do best in a home where she can be part of daily life. ]

If you are interested in adopting Maggie please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm to meet her. If you are unable to come during those hours please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see what other times may be available.

More about this shelter

Since our founding in 1912, the Worcester Animal Rescue League (WARL) has been dedicated to the care of the animals who provide so much for their human companions. Without your support, however, nothing we do would be possible. WARL is a non-profit organization and your donations of money, time, supplies, homes, and love are vital to our cause and the lives of the animals in our care. Our sincerest thanks.
