My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pleased to meet you! I’m Toe of Frog, the secret ingredient to your perfect home! Don't let my funny name fool you—I’m 100% kitten and 100% sweetheart! I might be a little "jumpy" when I first arrive at a new place (big rooms and new faces are a lot for a little guy!), but once I’ve had a moment to settle in, I am a total love-bug. In fact, I’m a professional blanket-fort tester; if there’s a warm spot under the covers, you can bet I’ll be there snuggling right up against you.

I’m also a bit of a "vocalist." If I wake up from a nap and realize I’ve lost track of my humans, I’ll let out a little cry to make sure you’re still nearby. I just love my people so much! When I’m not demanding snuggles, I’m a mischievous little explorer. I love chasing pom-pom balls and I’m always looking for a wrestling partner. I’ll even bring my toys over to you because playtime is always better when we do it together!

My Recipe for Happiness:

A Patient Chef (Human): I need a family who will give me a little time to find my brave side. Once I do, I’ll be your most loyal companion!

A Playmate: A "Toe of Frog" is nothing without the rest of the potion! I must be adopted with one of my siblings or go to a home with another playful kitten. I need a friend to wrestle with and to keep me company when you’re busy.

Ready to add a little spice and a lot of love to your life? I’m ready to hop right into your heart!

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Toe of Frog will need to be adopted with one of their siblings (Magic Broom, Grimoire and Eye of Newt).

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250. For a pair, the adoption fee is $500.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

Our kittens are cared for in foster homes and meeting them in their foster home is by appointment.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
