Rowan is a big, handsome 4-year-old shepherd mix weighing about 78 lbs, and it didn’t take long for him to become a staff and volunteer favorite. He can be strong on leash, but don’t let that fool you — Rowan is a really good boy who’s eager to please. He knows how to “sit” and is very treat-motivated, which makes him fun to work with. One of his signature moves is standing up to give a gentle hug, and he’s surprisingly polite about it for such a big guy. Rowan loves going for walks with volunteers, but his absolute favorite thing is soaking up all the pets and affection he can get. This love bug is reportedly dog-friendly, though he has not yet been dog tested in our care. Rowan is ready to find a home where he can share his big heart and even bigger love.
His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
