Meet Jellybean aka better known as Mamas — a petite, sweet-natured girl about 2–3 years old who is finally ready to be someone’s baby herself.
Mamas came to us as a devoted single mom, raising a whole litter of kittens, and now that her babies are grown and adopted, it’s her turn to shine. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she blossoms into a loving companion who adores head, chin, and butt scratches. When she’s happy, she’ll let you know with her soft, sweet little meow complete with gentle headbutts.
Mamas enjoys the indoor lifestyle these days by exploring the house to keep an eye on things, playing with her toys, and often chooses to curl up nearby—especially in her favorite cat bed by the office desk. Food and treats are truly the keys to her heart, and her adorable stubby front legs with an orange spot above her eye only add to her charm.
She gets along wonderfully with other cats, does well with small dogs, and tolerates a larger dog as long as they respect her space. Mamas is also fine with calm, respectful children. She’s not a large cat, but she has a big heart and would thrive in a home that gives her patience, affection, and lots of love because this sweet gal thrives on pets.
If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who will quietly steal your heart, Mamas may be the perfect match.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
