If you can hold back from picking me up, I'll come cuddle with you! I like to sit with my people and get pets, but I can be sensitive to being held and carried.
I can be picky when making feline friends. Slow introductions and having my own space will be important for me to adjust to a home with resident cats.

Fearful Behavior: I can be worried about new people or new surroundings. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to go home to a calm environment.

Meet and greets are done on a first-come/first-served basis. There may be a wait time during our busiest times, including the weekends.

We do not offer holds on any animals at this time.

Additional adoption info

Oregon Humane Society’s Portland and Salem campuses are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days per week. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.

When you come to the shelter and see a pet you are interested in meeting, please take note of the pet’s name and visit the front desk in the lobby. Our Customer Care team will be happy to assist you with the next steps.
