My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marty is a beautiful, sweet, curious, gentle, and fun, one-year-old female red American Thrianta rabbit looking for a loving guardian.

Found as an emaciated stray in Elgin, Illinois, this rabbit is absolutely perfect. She uses a litter box perfectly, and loves playing with her balls of hay, throwing them up in the air and catching them. She doesn’t mind being held and pet.

Marty enjoys unlimited timothy, orchard, botanical hays, a tablespoon of pellets, and a daily salad of Romaine lettuce, cilantro, and a bite of apple. She is currently living in a foster home in an exercise pen with her litter box, toys and water bowl. She hasn’t lived with other rabbits since her rescue, but she may get along with a male rabbit if introduced properly.

She is now an extremely healthy girl, litter box-trained, spayed, dewormed, and recently examined by a veterinarian. Her adoption fee of $125 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue and includes her exercise pen, litter box, water bowl, toys, litter, hay, pellets and carrier.

To meet and possibly adopt Marty, please fill out the application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/rabbit-adoption-application/ and follow up by emailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com to make an appointment to meet her.

Please check out: http://www.rabbit.org/ for more information about caring for a rabbit. Marty is being fostered in Chicago.
