Do you like other cats? I have lived with other cats in the past and we got along well. I would do well in a home with another cat after a slow introductory period.
What do you think about living with a dog? I have never been around dogs, but I am very playful and confidant once I am comfortable, so I may do well with a cat-savvy dog after a slow introduction period.
How do you feel about kids? I have never been around kids, but I am very playful and confidant once I am comfortable, so I may do well with a cat-savvy child/teen. I would like to meet any kids that will be in the home before I live with them.
What was your previous home like? I was an indoor only kitty.
What’s your ideal home like? I would like to live in a home where my family has lots of time to play with me and give me attention. I would also do best in a stable/consistent environment because stress can exacerbate my health issues.
Is there anything else we should know about you? I am a very loving guy and I like to roll around and get belly rubs! Please ask staff about my medical release.

Shelter Hours are 11 AM - 6 PM every day of the week.
Adoption fees vary. Dogs, cats, and rabbits are all spayed or neutered before adoption, include initial vaccinations, a microchip for I.D., and a certificate for a free health check at a number of local veterinarians.

Directions from east or west: From the east, take the Beltline or surface streets to Barger Rd, or West 11th, and head west to Greenhill Rd. Turn left on Greenhill Rd (from Barger) or right from West 11th; we're approximately a mile down the road. From the west, take Hwy. 126 to Greenhill Rd., turn left at Greenhill Rd.

Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.
Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.
Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
