Hi, my name is Angel! I’m available for adoption and will be ready to go home once I`ve been neutered! Please read the questions and answers below to learn more about me. If I sound like a good fit, come out to Greenhill Humane Society to meet me!

Do you like other cats? I`ve gotten along with other cats previously. I would likely do well with another cat after a slow introduction period.

What do you think about living with a dog? I have no history with dogs. I might do okay with a calm cat savvy dog after a slow introduction period.

How do you feel about kids? I have no history with kids. Loud noises and fast movements are scary to me. I would be happiest in a home without children.

What was your previous home like? I lived mostly indoors but had access outdoors as well.

What’s your ideal home like? A calm quiet home that will give me plenty of time to adjust to my new environment.

Is there anything else we should know about you? I`m a very fluffy and sweet guy once I`m comfortable around you. I enjoyed laying in my previous owners lap while we watched movies and laying on her desk while she worked on the computer.

Shelter Hours are 11 AM - 6 PM every day of the week.

Adoption fees vary. Dogs, cats, and rabbits are all spayed or neutered before adoption, include initial vaccinations, a microchip for I.D., and a certificate for a free health check at a number of local veterinarians.

We're located on Greenhill Road between W. 11th and Royal Avenues, approximately 3 miles south of the airport. Directions from east or west: From the east, take the Beltline or surface streets to Barger Rd, or West 11th, and head west to Greenhill Rd. Turn left on Greenhill Rd (from Barger) or right from West 11th; we're approximately a mile down the road. From the west, take Hwy. 126 to Greenhill Rd., turn left at Greenhill Rd.

More about this shelter

Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.

Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.

Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
