My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Finn, an incredibly sweet and gentle soul who's ready to find his forever home. This tall, handsome cat can be quite shy and anxious at first in a new environment and will want to have a safe, hiding place to observe things from until he feels braver. Don't let his quiet nature fool you-he has a heart full of love just waiting to be discovered and is an incredibly cuddly boy who loves to be curled up with you in bed or on the couch. He enjoys calm, quiet environments where he can feel safe and warm, and once he gets to know you, he'll greet you with purrs, happy drooling, and lots of head nuzzles. Finn is looking for a quiet adult home with 1 or 2 people max and no children as he can be overwhelmed by a lot of noise and action. Finn would do great with another friendly cat in the home who doesn't mind when he tries to cuddle as he desperately would love a nice buddy. Finn would thrive in a patient environment where he's given time to come out of his shell. His tender personality and friendly spirit make him a perfect companion for someone looking for a quiet, affectionate friend.
Finn was diagnosed with a urinary condition, Idiopathic Cystitis, and needs to stay on a urinary diet to help him stay healthy. With the proper diet and a calm, low-stress home Finn can be a happy, healthy boy who will make a wonderful, loving companion.
*FINN RECENTLY HAD A DENTAL SURGERY AND IS HEALING. HE CANNOT BE OFFICIALLY ADOPTED YET BUT LOCAL ADOPTERS HAVE THE OPTION TO FOSTER TO ADOPT UNTIL HIS CARE IS DONE.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
