My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One look at Gus’s smile tells you everything you need to know — this happy boy is just thrilled to be wherever you are.

Gus is approximately 5 years old (as of January 2026) and has a wonderful mix of adventure-lover and cuddle-bug. He loves car rides, happily sniffing the fresh air as the world zooms by. On a recent doggy day out, Gus proved he’s a great sidekick — enjoying a little shopping trip to Lowe’s and a peaceful stroll along the shoreline like a pro.

He walks beautifully on leash and does well passing other people and dogs, making outings easy and enjoyable. Gus is also a smart cookie who already knows sit, down, paw, and stay — always eager to show off his skills.

While Gus is famous for having some of the silliest zoomies, he’s just as content slowing things down. A pup cup, a cozy spot, and a good snuggle? That’s his idea of a perfect ending to the day.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts fun, well-mannered, and affectionate, Gus is ready to make your life a little brighter. You can begin the adoption process for him right now by filling out an application on our website, www.humanecny.org; or email info@humanecny.org; or call us at (315) 457-8762.Contact HumaneCNY if interested in this animal.
