This one-year-old, 47-pound hound/terrier mix is one submissive sweetheart!
Taurus is a timid fellow but has become more and more confident since he arrived. He a very connecting boy who will form a lifelong bond with his people. Taurus will gladly roll over for a belly rub and will soak up all the love you have to give. When volunteers stop by to visit, you can tell he appreciates each and every moment with them. If you're looking for the ultimate cuddle buddy you've found your man! Fun fact- he's a fan of spray cheese!
Taurus enjoys hanging out with his fellow kennel mates and does very well on his leash. He loves running in the yard in the snow. His curious nature is shining through and he enjoys playing with his toys. As he is still a young man, he will benefit from continued training, daily exercise and a yard to enjoy in his new home. Taurus's new family will need to be patient and provide him with lots of encouragement while he acclimates to his new home. We promise he'll repay your kindness with endless love for many years to come.
Based on our evaluation, we feel Taurus will do well in an active, but predictable home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. He may have the ability to live in a home with another dog as he does well with them at the kennel. A home free of cats or small animals would be best for him.
If you'd like to be the one to show him just how good life can be, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our tender-hearted Taurus!
