Maggie (Formerly Big Gal)

About Me

Maggie is a big, beautiful girl with a soft heart who is getting a second chance after being found as a stray and placed on the euthanasia list due to space constraints. Since leaving the shelter, Maggie has been showing everyone just how sweet and gentle she truly is.

She’s already housebroken, well-mannered, and settling into home life with grace — especially for a dog who’s been through so much change.

Personality

Maggie is a very sweet, affectionate girl with a thoughtful and gentle nature. She tends to observe first before jumping in and gains confidence as she becomes more comfortable with her surroundings. She enjoys human companionship and handles outings well — including a recent bath trip to Hollywood Feed, where she did great.

While she’s not especially interested in most treats or toys, Maggie has made one thing very clear: tennis balls are her favorite thing. 🎾

Dog-to-Dog Socialization

While at the shelter, Maggie participated in playgroups and showed a nice progression in confidence. She initially displayed a gentle, dainty playstyle, keeping to herself and avoiding interaction. As she became more comfortable and was introduced to higher-energy dogs, Maggie began to engage, revealing a push-and-pull chase-style play when she feels safe.
